Foto Patch Test
The objective of the UV irradiated patch test (photo patch test) is the determination of the phototoxic potential of a test product.
To analyse the phototoxic potential of a product two identical occlusive patch tests are performed. Subsequent one of the tests will be irradiated (UV exposure), the other one remains untreated. Finally, both reactions will be compared.
In principle, the tried and tested, specific prerequisites apply as for a standard epicutaneous testing.
